No regrets staying here

Lodging choices were tight for the days leading up to New Year's Day, so we were pleasantly surprised by the ARK hotel. Easy check-in, room was clean and comfortable, bathroom was clean, good hot water for shower. No breakfast provided, but lots of free snacks, juice and water dispenser (hot, warm, cold). Large common area with tables and chairs.

The room was small.

A clean and centrally located room in Taipei

The room was clean and well serviced.

The staff weren't helpful; we would make arrangements for the next day with one person, and then find out the next day they hadn't been made!

clean room, comfortable beds, close to night market & subway station, friendly front desk

the room & beds aren't spacious enough; very few hangers & little space to hang cloth. This becomes more imminent when you are travelling in group.

Decent stay, location was good. Service needs massive improvement.

Complimentary coffee from a coffee machine Room was ok

No smart TV - cant access youtube using the TV (we wanted to watch something streaming live on youtube together) Rubbish bin in the public shared area is always full - even the staff noticed it when they throw more rubbish into the bin. But no action taken. First night - the lady staff was helpful and friendly. Even though we waited 15-20 minutes for check in - no one at counter. The person before me was visibly pissed - not sure how long that person already waited before I arrived. Subsequent nights - male staff was extremely rude. We stayed 4 nights there. Wanted to order hotel breakfast one of those days but the hotel staff replied very rudely and impatiently. The most rude person I have met during my trip. Need more staff training. I can speak the local language so no issues there. But I foresee that native English speakers may face a bit of challenge communicating with the staff. Soundproofing needs work - we can hear uhm, sounds coming from a couple in the room when we were having a drink next to reception area at night.

Seamless check in experience. Good coffee and juice in the lobby.

I liked the lobby area. There was free flowing juice and coffee which helped minimize my expenses in Taipei greatly. Water and other drinks were also available 24/7. The lobby is also an excellent place to work. Internet was good.

The accommodation was on the pricy side. Fortunately I was able to split the cost with a friend. Also it would have been better for the lobby to include some light snackfor guests as well. A nearby hotel, UTRIP offers snacks along with drinks.

Very good, will recommend

The location is good, bus stop right in front of the hotel. There’s a night market next door. The staff are friendly and helpful. One of the staff recommended me a breakfast food place right by the corner and we ate there everyday. The rooms were clean and there is also a laundry room to use.

Awesome!

Friendly staff, room was clean and of a good size, sound isolation was very good, very calm, location is right in the center close from everything

The only complain I have is that right above my door, in the corridor, there was a speaker that was playing some music that could be heard inside the room. Hopefully, the music is only getting louder around 9/10 am. Before that the sound is very low or completely off during the night

Pleasant and convenient stay

Rooms were as expected based on reviews—clean, comfy and quiet. The hotel is close to a train station where you could easily change from one line to another. I’d definitely recommend for 2-3 days stay if purpose of travel is sightseeing or business, just not ideal for a staycation.

Needs ventilation but it’s fully disclosed during booking so you should know what to expect
